Kaleidoscope Plus
Mental Health & Wellbeing Charity
Kaleidoscope Plus is a UK-based nonprofit providing support, counseling, and community services.

About the project
Their website needed to serve multiple roles: providing information about services, accepting donations, showcasing resources, enabling media galleries, and offering eCommerce / shop elements (merchandise or resource sales). The goal was to create a clean, accessible, and community-oriented site that balances content, visuals, and interaction without overwhelming visitors.
What had to be solved
- Presenting varied content (service pages, resources, blog, donation/shop) in a way that’s intuitive and consistent.
- Building responsive image galleries and media displays that are smooth and performant (PhotoSwipe).
- Handling uploads or file interactions (e.g. resource uploads, media submissions) through Dropzone without confusing UI.
- Ensuring SEO is solid across content, donation pages, and resource sections.
- Integrating WooCommerce or shop / donation functionality seamlessly into site flow.
- Enhancing interactivity and UX with core-js / jQuery without slowing page loads.
- Ensuring good performance and reliability via Cloudways hosting.
- Maintaining layout consistency across devices using Bootstrap grid and customizing via Elementor + Hello theme.
- Integrating Google analytics / insights via Site Kit for data-driven decision making.
How it was built
- Built custom Elementor templates and sections for service listings, resource pages, blog, donation/shop, and gallery pages.
- Integrated WooCommerce or donation mechanisms to allow resource sales, merchandise, or donations in a seamless way.
- Implemented PhotoSwipe galleries for image-heavy sections (events, resource showcases) with smooth touch/gesture support.
- Integrated Dropzone JS in places requiring file upload (resource submissions, forms) with clear UI feedback and security.
- Configured Yoast SEO across site: optimizing meta, sitemaps, content structure, canonical URLs.
- Used core-js and jQuery to add micro-interactions, scroll effects, dynamic components while keeping performance in check.
- Leveraged Cloudways hosting with caching, optimization settings for faster page loads, uptime, and reliability.
- Used Bootstrap layout system (via custom/Elementor framework) to ensure grid consistency and responsive breakpoints.
- Implemented Google Site Kit to connect analytics, search console, performance metrics inside WordPress backend for the client.
What it delivered
- Delivered a community-focused, well-structured website that supports information, donation, resources, and shop in one place.
- Media galleries and resource showcases now feel polished and interactive, improving visitor engagement.
- SEO foundations in place increase discoverability of services, events, and resource pages.
- Site performance and reliability are enhanced through Cloudways hosting and optimization techniques.
- The combined use of Elementor + Hello theme + Bootstrap ensures a consistent design language across all pages.
- Google analytics integration gives the client ongoing insights into user behavior, traffic, and conversions.
