Global Compete is a platform designed to help non-native English speakers or international immigrants settle and thrive in Australia, combining language training with practical courses, support, and community features. It offers structured language and professional development courses, plus quizzes and assignments to reinforce learning. The design is modern and clean, with strong UX focus: clear calls-to-action (courses, free call, membership), community components, and supportive content for people in transition.
Challenges
- Integrating language learning content (courses, assignments, quizzes) in a way that fosters confidence and continuous engagement.
- Building membership and gated content so only subscribed users or paying members can access premium or advanced modules.
- Ensuring course materials are clear, approachable, and appropriate for people new to the local culture and job market.
- Performance concerns: multimedia, dynamic content, and community / forums + membership / login flows all need to work smoothly.
- Responsive design: many users may access via mobile or slower networks — need layout, images, assets optimized.
Solutions
- Implemented LearnDash (or equivalent LMS) to handle course creation, quizzes, assignments, progress tracking, and student dashboards.
- Designed and built custom templates with Elementor for course pages, lesson views, community pages (forums / groups), and gated content sections.
